Lovebug and Midnight Alibi

ALRIGHTY

The girl pegasus is my Ponysona, Lovebug. That old pony is going into scraps because she looks weird.
The male unicorn is just some random pony I doodled up named MidnightAlibi, and the two ponies are in love :'D

Not quite sure on all the colors yet, but I have an idea. when I get it figured out, I'll update this with the colored version


Lovebug

Lovebug is a gentle, happy-go-lucky pony. She loves to fly, and despite her petite frame, she's a bit stronger than she looks. If need be, she could life a male pony up into the air to get them out of harm's way. She is very generous and kind, always taking care of others before herself.
Her main specialty is anything with little bugs or young creatures and children. She has a wide knowledge of anything medical and if she wasn't so in love with bugs, being a medical pony would have been her thing.
She's a hopeless romantic, believing in true love and fairy-tale endings. She gets lonely easily and always has to have a friend or two around.
One of her best friends is a little ladybug named Lily. Remarkably, Lovebug and Lily can communicate. Lily can understand ponies and Lovebug has come to understand what all the little antenna movements and wing flutters mean. (It's like Fluttershy's ability to talk to animals, only with bugs :'D) Lily is with her at all times, hiding in her hair or sitting on her shoulder.
Lovebug adores being in the clouds and is always one to help with the weather, no matter what it is, if it's making sunshine, or fighting off a terrible storm, she's there in the thick of it.

Lovebug got her cutie mark earlier than some. She was heavily sheltered and her parents were neat-freaks, forbidding her to go play around in the dirt. One day, she snuck away with her friend, NinjaLight (maddie's pony. :'D) and they played around near the woods where Fluttershy lived.
It was there, that a little ladybug landed on her nose and flittered it's wings around a bit. Lovebug giggled and started to talk to it. They seemed to have a conversation, before the little ladybug flew away. during the whole thing, her cutie mark appeared, a white heart with two ladybugs and a green star.
She's been great with insects ad young creatures ever since.

Midnight Alibi

At heart, he's a kind-hearted pony, but rough times have made it hard for him to come out of his shell. He puts it out there that he's tough and nobody in the world can mess with him. Despite this, he often writes poetry in the secrecy of his home.
His specialty is sneaking around at night and magic of the deception and illusion kind. He's very good at finding ways to get his friends out of trouble, and will sometimes put the blame on himself if need be.
His dream was to be come something like a super hero, or a pony that saves lives. He does this y going around at night with a mask much like his cutie mark and stops all the evil that goes around. He worships Princess Luna for her fantastic, beautiful night and almost as if in return, he needs little sleep after his night-long adventures.
He was born with the black stripes on his legs.

Midnight got his cutie mark during the middle of a dark, starless night while the moon was in it's new moon phase.
His parents were mean and always angry, so being the young, adventurous foal he was, he ran away from home for a little bit. He found a strip of black fabric on his travels, with two rips in the middle. He laughed and tired it around his face with his magic, and he could see out of the holes. Liking the idea even more, he pretended he was a Spy Knight for Luna. During that night, he helped a young mare out of a touch predicament. The moment the deed was done, his cutie mark appeared. From that moment onward, he vowed to become a Guardian of the Night, and save people who ar ein trouble by the night of the moon and stars.

How They Met
Lovebug and Midnight Alibi met on a dark, rainy night. Lovebug had seen a horrible storm coming off the coast and had tried to get what she could out of the way before alerting the other pegasi. She had done this often times before, so it wasn't too much of a big deal. When she got to the storm, it turned out to be a hurricane coming inland from the sea. Before she had a chance to turn around and head back, the hurricane took her up in it's winds, broke her wing and sent her flying back towards the town.
She landed in a tree on the outskirts of Ponyville, right within a few meters of none other than Midnight Alibi. Her sobs of pain alerted Midnight and he came galloping over. Using his magic, he gently lifted her from the tree and set her down on the ground. He was still masked and everything. Through her sobs, she told him to alert Ponyville about the incoming hurricane, and at first he refused, wanting to stay by her side. After almost yelling at him to go, he went to the first place he thought of; Twilight Sparkle's library. Alerting her, she then got Rainbow Dash and her team of weather ponies to fight off the storm, and they were able to get it down to nothing but a few clouds before it got to any homes.
Midnight galloped back to where Lovebug was, still sobbing from the pain of her broken wing. When He tried to help her stand, she couldn't walk from a twisted ankle. Using his magic, he carried her on his back to a hospital where her injuries were treated, her wing put in a sling (cast?) and her ankle in a splint. Feeling obligated to see how his rescuee was faring, he found her at her home, unmasked and without his magic changing his distinguishing features.
Knocking on her door, he told her who he was, and she invited him inside for lunch. They got to talking and became instant friends. Midnight had fallen in love with Lovebug the moment he laid eyes on her, but refused to say anything of it, believing that showing his soft side was wrong. Lovebug began to have feelings for Midnight with every consecutive day they spent time with each other and talked. Neither of them said anything in fear of ruining their amazing friendship.
One day, Lovebug went over to Midnight's house after dark, finally deciding that she was going to tell him that she loved him. She knocked on his door, and it swung right open, as if it was never closed. All the lights were off, so she became worried. Gently calling out his name throughout his house, she found her way into his work room, where there was a large desk simply covered with papers. Harmlessly looking around to see if he was anywhere, she knocked over a few papers on the desk. Picking them up to put them back, her eyes came across beautiful, flowing poetry. Becoming more and more enthralled with each one she read, she came upon the love poetry she found that was about her. Tears coming to her eyes, she smiled, suddenly getting the feeling that Midnight might be the one she would spend forever with. Poem after poem she read, all about her. She then found an envelope addressed to her house, but not yet sealed. In it was the best out of the best of poetry, confessing his love for her. The moment she finished reading, Midnight came back to his home and saw her. Mostly with fear and not waiting her to know, he galloped over to her and swiped all the poetry away from her. He was angry, but Lovebug could tell that he was actually frightened. All of the pieces fell into place.
She told him that she read everything and that she shared the same feelings for him.

The pair have been inseparable since.
